Hey guys. I've been bothered lately by something, and I'd like to see if any of you could help me. I've been rp'ing for awhile, since 2001, but after reading SMP's rp's, I'd like to raise my ability. I've been sending John a few pm's for a while, but he's began to ignore them. I think it may be because I haven't shown my worth in the Rant Zone, and he doesn't feel like bothering with me. I feel as though I may be given the boot soon if i don't show improvement. So, I'm wondering if someone would be able to give me the assistance I need to make my roleplays more interesting. Thank you to anyone who may be able to give me a few tips. - MB

SMP - By the way. When I was referencing Flair, I wasn't disrespecting him. I was using an analogy, to say that douja was kind of like a "legendary" jobber. Hope that clears things up.

I haven't gotten any PMs from you since February 26.
I have no objection to anything you're doing rant-wise currently. I'm not booting you out. Your character is in the running for the Swiss Army Belt.
The only reason I didn't reply to a few of your PMs is because you sometimes end up double-thinking yourself out of ideas within a week after I OK them.
If this is about the dude who needed a reply to his application, as it says on the Join page, replies are not likely until the person POSTS A RANT. That dude has yet to even join the forums. I can't babysit people. I've had lots of apps in the last couple years, I reply and never hear from them again. Thus why it says on there, "replies not bloody likely."
Also, I've been busy the last few weeks with a project at work that's been eating up my free time where I would usually use for here. Thus, the creation of the Ted Rants. Which I'm actually thinking of keeping around so I don't burn out and so we can keep BOB active on a weekly basis.
My only tip to you: Do whatever you want in your rants as long as it's funny.
That is all.

The reason I thought I was going to be fired was mainly due to not getting replies to my pm's, as well as just being extremely paranoid. As far as the guy I was trying to get to join, I told him to join the board, but I guess he never did. If there's one thing I could ask... what did you think of the idea I had for the old vs new angle? Were you thinking about using it, or was it just a silly idea?

I don't remember it honestly. And I deleted all my old PMs recently, so I don't have it anymore. If it involved the sWo, I'm pretty sure I wasn't wild about it. Just concentrate on less characters with more depth. Keep going with Axl. I think he's got good heel potential if there's less sWo involvement, since nobody around here seems to like the sWo at all.

SMP - By the way. When I was referencing Flair, I wasn't disrespecting him. I was using an analogy, to say that douja was kind of like a "legendary" jobber. Hope that clears things up. I guess it does. No, it didn't really clear it up. "Legendary" jobber is like The Mulkeys, Brickhouse Brown, Thunderfoot 1 & 2, and George South. Brooklyn Brawler also comes to mind... Ric Flair is not, and will never be... a jobber of any form IMO. He's putting young guys over and being a team player. Anyway, Re: RP Help... I don't really know what to say on that one. One thing to definitely avoid is "wrestling" in them. Also, what you find funny might not be funny to somebody else. It's hard to explain... ...and I'm not an expert on the subject, so I'm not going to act like it and try to give you the golden formula. I just try to come up with stuff and hope people get a little entertainment out of it, or maybe a laugh or two. You just have to try, and hope for the best...

I didn't mean FLAIR was a legendary jobber, I meant douja was. I.E., whereas Flair is a legend amongst "Real Wrestlers", douja is a legend amongst jobbers. Hopefully now you see what I was trying to say.
And about wrestling in promos, I sent the match to John with the parody of AJ Styles in it. He told me that SMC didn't have room for it, and to put it into a promo. I wrote the Sgt. Genocide thing as a way to debut my new finisher, as well as start up my "Legend Killer" gimmick.
I guess, as far as making my rp's better goes, I'll just try to find something that entertains, as you said. I sort of thought that the whole bill-board thing may be a step in a better direction, trying something new. I dunno... back to the drawing board.

I just noticed this thread, actually. Legendary jobber, huh. Well, I suppose douja would just be happy he is legendary for something.

By the way, is the guy who does Axel Van Halen the same person who was Bobo Q. Fiendish?

By the way, is the guy who does Axel Van Halen the same person who was Bobo Q. Fiendish? That answer to that would be, "HELL NO".
