That Maynard guy actually isn't half bad. Though, I personally think he should be a gymnast. He'd probably go pretty far, and if he truly wants to be a pro wrestler one day, it's better to go with a sport when you're younger than backyard wrestling, as, 1, sports look good on a wrestling resume, and 2, his body will be in alot better shape when he gets to the real indies.
If I were to get involved in wrestling, I'd rather work for a very small time indie with only a handful of people watching than a backyard fed, as atleast the small time indies are a bit safer than the backyard stuff. But him as an individual does strike me as a good high-flyer, I just think he could go a better route of getting to pro wrestling if that's really what he wants to do. Just my two cents.
And this is coming from someone who actually did backyard wrestle back in the day, and got hurt plenty of times, but always due to my own fault. It seems to me that it's actually easier to hurt yourself than it is to GET hurt, as you don't know how to sell moves or land or any of that important stuff. So basically I know how bad things can go from experience. But he should definitlely try out for gymnastics, as this guy can fly. He just needs to do so in a safer environment, before he injures himself accidentally. He'd definitely have a future in a place like Chikara or Dragon Gate USA if he does, and he'd thank himself for it.
